Wedding Inspiration: all the blues at The Bodleian Library, Oxfordshire

If you've never been to the City Of Oxford, I feel you are missing out. The wondrous architecture and gorgeous colleges are stunning. They also provide a fabulous setting for a stylish wedding in Oxfordshire. If you love and appreciate photography, you can really work this into your day.

This shoot took place at the famous Bodleian Library, with a reception-style table set up at Hertford college. Afterwards. The aim was to display beautiful pastel colours on a simple yet gorgeously elegant tablescape, put together perfectly by Duchess and Butler, and others. You can see how the placement of plates, table runners and candles really make for a stunning work of art, that any wedding guest would surely swoon over.

Giulia of Cakes in Bloom, Oxford, had a bold vision, and it all came together to perfectly display these amazing vendors and fabulous locations. She, of course, created a beautiful cake and elegant macaroons that finished off the look. It's useful to know that you can incorporate your colour theme into your details such as sweet treats, to really help bring together your vision.

The library itself is a fascinating area for a ceremony, it kind of reminds me of the layout of the church where Tommy and Grace marry, in peaky blinders (if you've ever seen the series). There are benches running vertically along the long edge of the ceremony room as opposed to the traditional horizontal/facing the front set up. Kind of like school bleachers, but stylish. I loved how if you were to get married, you wouldn't have guests trying to see over each other's heads and lots of space to walk through the room (if you want a train as long as the room, this is the place for it).

We explored some of Oxford's scenic buildings close by, and the streets and the colleges make for stunning backdrops for your wedding photos. It's a busy place, but it kind of doesn't matter. The people of Oxford make up the atmosphere.

I put together this video from the shoot, and scroll on down for some beautiful detail snaps and the full list of the team that put this together!
